I love my XKR, which makes a great daily driver - apart for two things... the fuel economy and the rubbish phone. I'll happily accept the economy if I can get the phone sorted though. Unusually compared to my other cars, I can hear people clearly enough but they can barely hear me unless I literally shout - which gets a bit wearing after a whole day.

I have used the two latest Blackberries and a Windows HTC and they have all suffered from the same issue. Ideas appreciated smile

Not wanting to be asking stupid questions but have you read the manual to see how to increase the volume for the phone, whilst connected through the car.

They car was launched with the hands free microphone hidden behind trim on the A pillar. A service bulletin was issued soon after for the microphone to be repositioned to the outside of this trim due to this very problem. Has yours been done? Can you see the microphone (small plastic bubble)?

Thanks, I've just rechecked and no sign of a mic, I'll call into Jaguar main dealer and see if they can uncover the mic. Do you think this would this be chargeable?

If it's not under warranty then yes, but you never know.
