Has anyone had any experience or got any recommendations of companies who offer trade-in online? I have a number of Xbox and Wii games that are just gathering dust and I'd like to get rid of them in return for cash towards another game. I would prefer to trade in online rather than queue up in Game/HMV. If there is a compute game "Envirofone" equivalent, then happy to use them as I don't necessarily need to sell to and buy from the same company.

Any recommendations please?

eBay
Much much better, I always sell my old games on eBay and make quite a bit more than I would selling them to a company.

Music Magpie bought a load of my old xbox/PS2 games (and CDs).

You can get an iPhone app and snap each barcode to get an instant valuation.

I guess you'd get most money on eBay but it is a lot more hassle than throwing them in a box and sending them off.

I was worried they'd reject on spurious reasons but every single CD and game was paid out as quoted.

Thanks chaps, can't really be arsed with ebay. Some of the games are worth selling to Music Magpie etc. but for the sake of 36p(!) for some titles I think they're better off gathering dust smile

HMV normally give a reasonable price on pre owned. In certain instances more than I ever paid for them as well. They have an Iphone App which lets you scan the barcode and find out what its worth before you bother going into store.
