Wire diagram anyone?
Discussion
Hi fellow Esprit lovers... I was wondering if any of you might happen the have an electrical diagram for an 88' Esprit that could be faxed or e-mailed. I'm pretty sure the 87' would be the same - or close enough. I need to trace the wires from the AC switch to the compressor. For what ever reason... my compressor simply stopped getting power yesterday?
Thanks in advance!

Cameron,
I have the diagram, but unfortunately no way of getting it to you. But, it occurs to me that you may simply have a bad lead. There is a small wire w/ bullet connector which comes off the main engine harness to the compressor. This is easily disconnected accidentally or corroded. It is the only lead to the compressor as it grounds through the engine/chassis. Check it out, hope the fix is that simple.

Cam,
Or forward a FAX number to me offline.
The wiring diagram is broken up into separate sections. The one including the A/C is:
1988 Service Notes, Section MG, Electrical.
Sheet 13, Radiator Cooling Fans & ACU (Carb & Bosch Injection).
1980-87 Service Notes, Section ME, Electrical Fed 1986-87.
Section 5 - Radiator Cooling Fans
Section 6 - A/C
Section 7 - Internal Fans
I haven't traced line for line and can't say if the 86-87 schematic is the same as the 88 or not. But the 88 schematic puts more info on one page so it's easier to read with out flipping pages.

Thanks for the reply re. my e-mail. I'm told that for whatever reason Aol accounts seem to do strange things with Pistonheads... My two e-mail's are:
Autocross7@aol.com
Cameron@cpsinet.com
The Aol address works fine if not accessed from the Pistonheads site...? These are not 'secrets' or anything (hahah)so anyone should feel free to use them!
Jim, thanks for the tip on the lead. I put on a new one already to no avail.
Tim, also, thank you for the info re. the difference in diagrams. If I can get some idea as to the in between stuff (from the low pressure switch to the compressor) I'll be ahead of where I am now!
