Low pressure power steering pipe - bodgeable?

I've got a bit of a leak from a power steering cooling coil. It's on the low pressure side - the hoses attach with some nasty push clips.

Here's the damage:



As a purely temporary measure, would a bit of rubber hose and a jubilee clip sort this?

When the jeep ones went west I took it to Pirtek who repaired both hoses in 2 hours for £73 against 2-3 days & £150 for the bits from Jeep. Yes a sleeve& clips would fix it but Pirtek or a similar hose co. may fix it properly for litle money.

You can buy a quick fix plumbing tape (cant remember the name) Its supposedly good for up to 150psi?

Chickened out, and bought a new one. Much as the van annoys me, Brristol Street Commercials in Avonmouth are very good for parts. £69 buys a lot of jubilee clips, though!
