I've long since ditched the chamois, and those blade things are scary looking. Get yourself a proper drying towel

As above for me too. Buy a few good drying towels to pad-dry it and you'll be fine. If you get any post clean drips or water marks just get some quick detailer on it with a microfibre and then get a good synthetic wax on it before finishing it off with a layer or two of carnuba 
Try some AutoGlym Super Resin Polish too as I used that on one of mine last weekend and was shocked how good it is.
