Spotted this today whilst waiting on site
Why on earth would you intentionally block out over a third of your windscreen in the vain hope that you'll make your car look cool? I have a small 4" strip on the top of my van windscreen to combat the low winter sun but it does make things like traffic lights difficult to see at times.
I won't even mention the mirrors or the lack of side repeaters as I'm not that much of a grumpy git but it does strike me as pretty silly.

If you're short enough that it doesn't impede your vision, what harm does it do? If anything it will be safer because you're less likely to have the sun in your eyes. I'm six foot and I'm pretty sure I could drive that (if I could bear the shame) without the strip causing problems.
One of my mates got one and we all thought it looked good, so we all copied.I've got a sunstrip on my MX5. It was a manditory sticker in BDC when I was competing, and very handy because the car came without sunvisors.
It's sometimes annoying at traffic lights, even though I cut it down to be as small as the standard sunvisors.
I've bought myself some OEM sunvisors because of sunstrip shame, but I'll hate the gap between the mirror and visors when I take the sticker off.

Ive got a sunstrip on my Saxo VTS but only due to the lack of interior (sun visors) as it's stripped out 
Although it's nowhere near as deep as the one on that focus wrc replica. I use the term replica rather loosely seeing as it's not that good
