I'm looking around for another car. On autotrader there seems to be a lot of cars that are advertised from what appears to be a dealer, but when you read the ad,it says private sale contact me by e-mail.
So the question is, are these cars really in existence ? They seem to be cheaper than they should, which makes me suspicious.
Any advice appreciated.

The latest trend by the scammers is to hack into a dealer's auto trader account (happened to us) then advertise a car at about half its actual value with an email address on the main photo.
Last Sunday I had the phone ringing all day with people who wanted to buy the fiat 500 at 3k after our account had been compromised. Surely if they had sent an email to the address instead of ringing me they would be lighter in the pocket area by now... I will say though that in my opinion they deserve to be as if something seems to good to be true (half price car) then it generally is!

They can't be very good scammers if they forgot to remove your phone number!Last Sunday I had the phone ringing all day with people who wanted to buy the fiat 500 at 3k after our account had been compromised.
