Can i get the lighter out with out taking the door panel off.
If i need to is this easy.

Well yes you can....... I replaced mine and in the end crushed the lighter socket to remove it without damaging the trim.

But with the door panel off its a doddle (if you have skinny enough hands to get to the screws)

have fun!

I need to get it out so i can give it a good clean.
I think its not working because its badly corroded(sp).

I managed by firstly pull the lighter out and cut the top off, then very carefully pulled door panel away at the bottom allowing a gap for me to just about get my hand in and pull the old lighter and connections out. new lighter slotted in place then connected and pushed wires and connectors carefully back through bottom of door panel - very easy or i might have been very luck, just didnt fancy all the trouble of taking off and refitting the door panel as i've heard it's a nightmare.
