A332 between Windsor and Ascot closed today

Around 5pm this afternoon, 2 police Astras at either end of a section of the A332 between Windsor and Ascot firmly closed that section - anyone know the reason?

Tree fell on two cars, between the peanut rbout and winkfield rbout, one man dead, one woman injured

I shouldn't be complaining then.

I suspected it was something serious.

Audi, i dont think your post was in the complaint mode, more like a question. Chap was 64yr old from Sheffield so i have heard on the radio. the woman in another car!! is in hospital. no updates though

Aah, so that explains the traffic in the early evening. Nasty.

On the drive into work this morning there was a 'Fatal collision' board out, and alot of felled tree wood by the side of the road.

Its long overdue for the Highway Authorities to inspect overhanging trees
And cut back hedging and tress to inprove sight lines and enable the full use of the available carriageway.

Far too many roads where the tress and hedges restrict road width
lost count of the places that I have to drive 2 or 3 feet from the kerb to avoing having truck mirrors ripped off.

Tragic circumstances however for the couple.
