is there a alternative to Halfords ?
Discussion
Loads of them!!
There's dozens of places, a few independents but lots of the smaller chains, GSF, Euro, CAF, CES, several are members of parts alliance. They tend not to have big showrooms, more a desk and small shop with a warehouse.
No tents and stereos but they do parts (most supply all the local garages) and tools (may have to order in) and a few general car care bits and bobs .
They will generally have a few "detailing" odds and sods but not the range of halfords.

Online is the answer of course, but I like a potter down to Motaman on a Sunday. Think they are online too!
