Are there any good dealers left?!

Apologies for the hyperbole in the title, but while scouring the classifieds for Imprezas and Evos, the traders with the largest choice of these models (in acceptable travelling distance) have nothing but horror stories plastered over Internet forums.

It looks like I'm going to have to travel further to find what I want. Are there any reputable dealers around?

One thing in life I find is that often I see someone has had major problems with X or Y company whereas I had great dealings with them. Then I find a really highly rated place and for me they are s**t....

Quite possibly, that did occur to me, but it's the sheer number of stories all over google and forum comments like "do a search on here" when people ask for opinions.

I was going to suggest these, of the 5 or 6 people I know who have bought cars from them in the past they have all recommended them highly and most cases returned to buy their next car also, good luck, hope you find the car your after

I was going to say Eastern BMW Edinburgh has been good for me.

Only slight issues have been their support in getting me a hire car or back and forth from town.... It took my fiancée to kick off last time before they helped us get back..... (Considering what you pay £110ph labour) they should sort out a collection or a ferry service which runs more than 2 times a day)

Any reason you wouldn't buy privately? You can get all the usual dealer 'extras' from 3rd parties (warranty, finance, coffee, etc)

Plenty of both in the PH classifieds...

Part ex - I hate selling vehicles, so even though I'd get more selling mine privately I'd rather do a swap. A test drive is a bit easier to keep legal as well, as I don't have Driving Other Cars cover on my policy.

Went to K T Green this afternoon, going back for a test drive of a WRX PPP, however they did have a damn fine looking 523bhp 3rd gen STi for sale. It's at the opposite end of the price scale to what I was looking for, but it's very tempting.
