Factory Satnav on old barges

What is the view on old satnavs - doesn't their ABSENSE make cars like MB W220 or BMW E38 much more desirable? Even the one I had in my X350 was simply horrible and looked as LEGO manufactured it. Same goes for the old-shape XK8, where the non-Satnav cars have three lovely instruments in the dash.

Yeh I think the same, old out of date maps and sega mega drive style graphics!

Same goes for the cars with the bulky in phone cradles, good at the time, waste of space now

Usually these cars come with all other toys, which would be the selling point for me!

I always use Google Navigation on my Tablet as a sat nav, search simply by company name e.g. "Volvo Doncaster" or "Halfords" & up to date maps, permanently! Ok so my data useage is quite high, but still worth it!

Agreed. I wouldn't want either of my cars with the OEM satnav. Both of mine had DIN-sized headunits as standard, making swapping much easier.
I dread to think what some new cars with built-in ICE will look like from that point of view in 10+ years. - They'll be the equivalent of this inside:

Agree, you generally find cars that are have the OEM sat nav have every other extra as well which can be a bonus if your not paying over the odds.
