Moving to an unfurnished villa, so need to kit the place out.
Looking for full HD not that fussed on 3D.
Looked at the LG and Samsung kit, not much to choose between them and the price is virtually the same.
Recommendations.

I've got a 32 inch cello led smart tv which I got from m and s. the picture quality is incredible, as good as anything else I've ever seen. As a trade off, the sound is abysmal, but I just hooked in a sound bar and now it's amazing! I paid 200 quid on special offer for it, and am delighted. I think they generally sell for 250. Cello are a small British company too, and I've got no hesitation in recommending them (based on my limited experience of this one tv that is!).

Thanks for that, not heard of the make and I'm in Bahrain so I don't think they will be here.

Ah, sorry hadn't realised that! Probably not then!
The only thing I may be able to offer then is the advice a richer sounds employee gave me when I was looking at tvs, and that is to avoid Sony as they're in the process of pulling out of the tv business apparently (this is hearsay, so not gospel!) and to look at panasonic and lg as they're the top marques at the mo!

I have looked at the LG, not the Panasonic or Sony. I have a couple of weeks to pull the trigger so I will keep trying.

Do you do any 'media server' type stuff?

If so the Samsungs tend to have the best range of file type compatibility.

Thanks for that, I do link the lap top up now and again and I am leaning towards the Samsung.

Hi nadger, do you know the model number of your Cello TV? Looking at getting a C32109FIPTV which looks like a pretty decent price, most reviews are positive and I guess it supports a UK business in some way! cheers

Hi BR
I have the C32109FIPTV, and can confirm that it is very good. Apart from the sound, which is terrible! However I looked at all the equivalent tvs, and nothing was really significantly better with the same spec, and the picture quality of the screen is exceptional! I resolved the sound issue by buying a soundbar, but it could be resolved equally easily by plugging it through a stereo or similar.
The interactive system is not the best (it takes quite a while to load and isn't entirely intuitive) but for the money is fine. I only use it very rarely, and only then to watch iplayer.
I bought mine from M&S, but I noticed when searching for it that they no longer sell technology stuff! I bought mine as part of an offer, which made it an incredible deal! However there was an issue with the interactive aspect of the TV, but both Cello and M&S were excellent at resolving the issue and I couldn't be happier with the result!
If you have any specific questions, feel free to PM me!
