1980 Porsche 928
Discussion
Will be posting loads of pics as more is done to the car. This 928 is the 4.5lt. You can find more on the ongoing restoration at http://upfrontporscheclub.com/classified-2/
The 1977 924 and the green 944 are now finished and have been swapped for a silver 928S4 which may need a full respray.
The bonnet of a 928 is made from aluminium and after time paint can lift,so the underside had to be totally repainted.with all flaking paint removed and etch primed.
Top of bonnet hand polished and glaze applied

Nice project, follow with interest! Are the engine and gearbox ok(ish)? if not it takes a specialist and lots of cash to sort...
So far so good (lol) It was driving like a dream a year ago but has been sitting under a cover for quite a while now. Once the bodywork has been finished we will have to have the engine checked out. Hopefully most of the problems (if any) we can do ourselves....forums are very useful. We only have a garage and a greenhouse (shared with the vegetables) to work in unfortunately.Gassing Station | Readers' Cars | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
