Same goes for my T350c, and that was after the cable and catch were fixed. So long as you have 5 ft long arms it is no bother at all!
I squeeze a tennis ball just under the rear edge and pull the handle - ergo, it pops up!!
Otherwise with the roof on, SWMBO under the rear edge is the alternative, but the tennis ball always wins!!

Yes it's still locked
There is very little movement in the cable when the handle is pulled, pulling the cable with grips is not even moving the catch now, which itself is refusing any "assistance" i might offer in forcing it to release; pushing/pulling on the bonnet makes no difference either.
Sort of resigned to a trip to the menders now - glad it doesn't use any oil otherwise the journey would be a nervous one.

You can release it from the outside by manipulating the bonnet catch (using your fingers). Look closely you can see the bit you need to move.

Bob,
If you look through from the passenger side you will see the lever where the cable goes through on the bottom of the mechanism.
I once had to use a log screwdriver with a cloth to protect the bonnet and from the passenger side push the lever towards the drivers side. This should release it.
Cheers. Lee.

Had to do mine again today so with pictures.......
1) Open the bonnet catch leaver inside the car. Reach between the bonnet & the body by the air box and slowly with your fingers under the cable pull it towards you. The bonnet catch should now release the bonnet.

2) Close the bonnet catch leaver in the car. Loosen the screw pull the cable through & then re-tighten. Close and test.

3) Repete 1&2 until the leaver releases the bonnet.

Over to you Bob
Okay, firstly thanks Kev.
By my reckoning you were at my place for 61 minutes, 60 of which we spent talking about TVR shiz (15 year old daughter to blame for this phrase
)Can anyone guess what the other 60 seconds were for??
Also thanks to all who offered advice and photos .......unfortunately it was in vain.
So yes I'm hanging my head in shame; it was so easy to do
