993 Turbo in Speed yellow, nothing unusaul about that you may say, but this one was on an '02' registration.

Must have been one somebody kept unused then registered in 2002, looked mint!

Amazing. I once was certain I saw a 993 on a 51 (2001) plate but thought I must have got it wrong. I passed it slowly on the motorway - old-style interior, round lights, I can for sure recognise a 993 vs 964 or 996 or indeed 997. But sure enough, XX51 XXX plate. I was thoroughly confused....?

Yep, this was definately a 993, round lights, large fixed turbo rear spoiler, thought at first as if came towards me it might be a 997, it looked so fresh!

Was this in the birmingham area? If so I've seen the same car. I think the car was imported in '02 and the DVLA confused the date manufature with the date of importation. I have seen this happen on cars imported from Japan in the past.

it was.

If the car is decalred as brand new on importation then it could rightly recieve the current registration at that time
