Mike Griese (owner of an 83 Turbo Esprit and an 04 Elise S2 -- he doesn't subscribe to Pistonheads) posted the quick note above on the mailing list.
Saatchi & Saatchi maintain that Brand names and Trademarks have run their course and no longer mean anything in the marketplace. So they've put up a website for Lovemarks where people who are passionate about some product... like a car... can nominate their favorite Brand for a Lovemark. Mike has nominated Lotus.
Follow the link to read his note about Lotus. To the left, just below a color picture of several Lotus, you will find a link button titled "Vote on this lovemark". Click "lose it" on the left or "I love it" on the right.
Lets stuff the ballot box. Spread the word through your local clubs to visit the site at <www.lovemarks.com/lm/read.php?LID=1871> and vote.
In just a few hours, it's received 76 "I love it" votes. One curmudgeon has voted "Lose it". There's always gotta be one. He must be the Grinch... or a P-car guy.
