need some help, i'm a single guy, 32 and have got two weeks off in november and want to go somewhere.
budget is about £1500. not too bothered about activities but would like to be with people around my age or younger. like a drink, like to explore places. so far i am thinking vancouver as i have family there and could go to whistler and vancouver island for a few days. but are there cheap hotel deals to be had?
i am also looking at mexico as i like the thought of all inclusive and chilling out for a week.
has anyone else traveled on their own? where did you go?

I sometimes do city/football breaks on my own if none of my mates are up for it. It can be quite good, as you do what you want to do, when you want etc. Never done a longer break on my jack, but don't think it would be a problem. Plus, you get talking to other people in pubs etc..
Go for it.

I've been away by myself for the last couple of years, using companies such as geckos or intrepid. Good mix of people and ages (usually 25 upwards) and some great adventures to be had. Sounds like it could be up your street.

Thailand - islands, beach huts on the cheap, plenty to explore and plenty of single travellers.

I went on safari in Kenya last year on my own with Solos and just come back from The BodyHoliday in St Lucia.

The BodyHoliday was great, lots of single people and tons of things to do, absolutely loved it.

Safari was also great with a wide age range but could ruin a holiday if you don't get on with the others as you're in a jeep together for long periods of time.

I'd go to Thailand too if you haven't been before. Lots of places to go too, you can't really go wrong. Always different ages of people about so you'll fit in easily.
