Metal glue / weld ?

One of the hangers has snapped off my exhaust back box. I don't have access to a welder or anything. Is there a good metal "glue" or something that someone can recommend? I don't want to buy a new back box if I can help it.

nah glue wont do it , find someone that will weld it for a drink or two

maybe find a long thing strip of sheet metal . a sort of strap and bodge it up with that . you do not say what kind of car it is . if it is an old banger you could just use a couple ofn old wire coat hangers .

as another poster says , find someone who will weld it for a pint . i had someone make me a weighted gearchange for £2 worth of lager

Don't waste your time with JB Weld. In my experience, a coat hanger is just the ticket and will work!!

JBWeld is good stuff - but it wont hold an exhaust bracket, not a hope in hell.

hmm, do you think that JB weld would support subframe reinforcement plates on my e36?

JB weld is fine for light/non stressed applications.

Don't even think about using it for something like exhaust brackets, or chassis plates!! as it can go quite brittle in my experience, and certainly no where near the strength of a good weld

Depending on where the hanger was, Ive used hose clamps as a budget bodge before, some mikalor ones are strong enough to suspend your whole car from

You can get metal cable ties. They would be better than bodgeweld.
