Genius....Thanks. I have tried but really cant get on with the new one. Probably great if you know what and where you are looking for but for just browsing the old one is much more theraputic.

Thanks again

The old one will go...

I'd suggest alternating while it's still going to ween yourself off it...Or dive into the feedback session and let us know what you don't get/like/enjoy about it and we'll try and make it more how you like if other people agree.

I've tried the alternating thing, tried to learn the new layout and features, tried to be open minded and positive about the change over but sorry the new version is just gash.

I'll give the same feedback as I have in the past (even though I know it's a lost cause) - The new version is overly complicated and badly laid out. Has the look and feel of a poor mans version of the new (equally bad) Autotrader website.

Example "search by" -
Why have have options for "newest with images" and "date added" instead of just advert age?
If you must have them both then the default should be "newest first" not "newest with images"
Why have "random" at all, it's pointless

Seems like the classifieds have been re-designed with 'the motor trade' in mind, not PH'ers - which is understandable as PH is now part of a media business empire - just don't be suprised or offended when PH'ers complain.

Sorry you feel that way, but certainly not designed without PHers as the prime target. Entirely the opposite in fact.

"Newest with images first" was in response to people complaining about dealers uploading stock without images. It penalises them if they do this. So rather in favour of users and not dealers.

In what ways is it like Auto Trader? We think it is most unlike it because;

- postcode search not compulsory.
- you can search for more than one make or model at once.
- or just use PHer friendly criteria (all the V8s).
- more & bigger images.
- free ads for long standing members.

It would be good to have the search via part-ex option back if that can be incorporated.....liked dreaming about what I could swap my car for.....

That's still there. It's one of the filters. Click on "More Filters" and it's bottom right. Select the box, and then when you select "part exchange only" you can search for whatever you like in that box.

Just like on the old site it's only as good as the accuracy which someone enters in that section when they are uploading a car for sale, but it it is there.
