V8V Roadster - door window drops but not enough

Hi all - used the search procedure but didn't unearth anything I haven't tried so posting here for advice. (expecting it to go off topic after three replies or so but you never know those first three might be helpful!)

Issue - Open the drivers door and it does drop (as expected) but it doesn't drop quite enough and catches on the roof rubber (at the back of the glass about half way up)

TRIED - Window reset procedure described in the FAQs

Any other ideas?

That was happening on my coupe. The windows wasn't dropping enough and was clipping the chrome edging on the roof. Tried the reset procedure but in the end it had to go in and have the glass (or the runner that it sits on) realigned.

Did you discuss their oil prices whilst you were there. Sorry Pete

I had that problem, and called AM, they put me onto their emergency assist, because the glass could get broken if it isn't opening the window properly.

Emergency assist turned out to the the AA, they took out the fuses (under the passenger footwell), left it a minute, refitted them, then did the window reset, then all was well.

Ok so that's like the Aston version of CTRL+ALT+DELETE....will give that a barry bash then...so you reckon just pull ALL fuses out in the footwell, leave and then slot them all back in? .....kidding just kidding...I'll find the window ones....

I wouldn't pull ALL the fuses that will reset A LOT including the engine management which will need a load of cycling to get it running properly again
I would presume there is one in there dedicate to the windows

There were two fuses for the two windows, he didn't know which was which, so pulled both

The is a slight adjustment that can be done , or the most likely problem is the window has excess play in the window regulator , and this will require replacing , which isnt cheap or easy.
