Bringing a lady friend to Malton on Sunday and I've decided it may be a nice idea to stop off for lunch on the way back.

Could anyone recommend anywhere?

The moors inn at appleton le moor off the a170 between pickering and kirkbymoorside is nice, old style pub, good food might be worth booking due to being a sunday, use it by self, only one i know thats good, tried others but not so good.

Blacksmiths Arms at Westow, just outside Malton. Fantastic country pub, great food and service.
