looks wise, i think it depends on the colours a little

if the wheels contrast with the body, then they tend to stand out, so silver over dark green makes them look larger.

anthracite or black makes the rims look smaller, and loses the rims into the tyre more. the silver on mine blends more than the gold colour, so the rims look smaller.

the Diameter of the 235 fitted to the front of mine are 620, std 205/55/15 was 610, so there really is only a small increase of 5mm per side.

my rl7 rims are et33 all round, 8 inch 235/40/17, 255/40/17. ive some spacers for the fronts if i want, but im going to run it as is for a wjile and see how it feels. with an et33 on the front and 8 inch, the outer rim sitswithin a few mm of where the et24 7 inch rim sat, but it could go out 8mm or so, but we will see.

i'd love some 9 or 10 inch rears.....maybe one day i will find some!
'
setup needs completing, camber etc, and ride height is high to get off my trailer. you can see the rear needs pulling in at the top, currently is is at best at nil inclination inwards

car is going to trimmers Friday.....so i will have to choose a colour......

the roof will be very dark green or black

the seats/dash/whaletail etc are staying as is, a biscuit colour, very close to the brown masking paper

the carpets are coming out, and being replaced by whatever matches best, either pale/dark green, or tan/biscuit.

tyres are federal RSR all round.
there seems to be no fouling anwhere at the front, but if you jacked the car off the ground, and let the suspension drop at full lock, they will touch the very back of arch at the bottom, but i think they did before.

the rear tyres and rims are currently dead upright. setting ought be approx 1 degree in, so pulling them in at the top will get the setup right, and make a little more clearance, but this needs to be done after ride height is set, which i couldnt do till i decided which tyres/rims i was going to use

Best tyre sizes for 16/17 setup are 225/45/16 255/40/17 .wall height is close to exact .just removed my 255`s because they just catch the inner arch on one side ,now 245/40/17 i can see a slight difference on wall height the fronts, front wall height is larger .

the 245/40/17 look better with 215/45/16 more balanced but Falken do not make that size .

I have these up forsale ,just had them measured at the tyre centre ,7.8mm so like new .

Griffs have a bit more space under the arch .

Lovely wheels!
I think this is the one that belongs to a bloke called Jim, can't remember his PH name but we spoke about the wheels a couple of years ago.
They are Compomotive split rims, 16" front 17" rear. I enquired with Compomotive about prices and they were "about" £400 per wheel eek

Hi Anthony,

If you look at the picture on my profile it has 17 on front and back, with 225/45 on the front and 245/40 on the read.
