Anyone else have a manual - and are they any good in the DB9?

There are a few about but not many - if you check 'how many left' it shows around 63 of them in total, though I'd take that with a pinch of salt. They are rare and valued a little less than a TT2 I think, certainly a harder sale - of course no dealer would ever have specced a manual Volante and no prospective owner would therefore have been able to test drive one - you'd have to KNOW it was what you wanted from the factory, and AM would be pushing the TT2 as it was a costly option! That is very well priced for a 2007 car though.

Really transforms the car as it's a lovely box to use, has a real 'old-school' supercar feel because of it, but with the benefit of the roof being off to hear the noise. I love mine and without hyperbole, will keep it forever.

If someone does take a punt on it... Get it to Bamford Rose for the 'Volante Handling Pack'. Gives you the undertray shear plates from the Virage/DBS Volante, fits a chunky rear anti-roll bar (the Volante doesn't have one!) and adds the drop links to keep it all nice and tight. Transforms the handling, which to be honest is very good is the first place - was the stiffest cabriolet in the world when launched.

Shame it's James Bond resale grey and suicide black, the new owner will probably fall into a coma looking at it before they even get to drive it

Not sure, especially as the automatic on the DB9 actually isn't that bad!
