UK US$ savings account - any recommendations?

As per the title really. I can get one via my current bank (Barclays), but the rates are pitiful - even by today's standards.

Any other recommendations for accounts available to UK residents?

Interest rates in any bank today are dreadful, US or UK. Without sounding silly a tax free ISA may be a half decent step with rates between 3.6 and 4 percent per annum. Not much but better than a bank or building society.
