Recently acquired a lovely 2003 XKR convertible. I've world out the fascia change so I can fit a single Din stereo but as I have the amplified premium sound system I need someone with Jag XKR experience to fit it as it's not as straightforward as first thought.

Also I need a recommendation for an indie for future servicing

I'd recommend the Surrey Jag Centre in Croydon. Expert and reasonable.

As you have the premium system unless it is Harman Kardon you wont be able to re-use the amp but we always get the steering controls to work with full integrated IPod, blue tooth and usb.... We like using Alpine 305s head units, ticks all the boxes

A bit of a trek from London though but we can do all kinds of things wink

Thanks for the replies. Just had the stereo fitted. I bought a Sony d300 model which has a tray for you iPod and is Bluetooth to phone.

I sourced and fitted a fascia with din adapter. The shop wired it in. They tapped into the wires on yellow plug so I still have power to clock. 1 hrs labour plus white connector to stereo £40. Very happy. Will post pics of install shortly.
