I had an apparent slow puncture on the daily snotter so took it down to a small family run tyre and exhaust place on the Cowley Road in Uxbridge. A nice chap called Steve took the wheel off, couldn't find a puncture but did diagnose a loose tyre valve core which he fixed for nothing.

Maybe my expectations are really low but I was expecting teeth sucking and being informed I needed four new tyres and discs and pads all round. A refreshing change.

Its great to find a reliable garage that doesnt want to rape you just for simple things like this. Its like they understand being reasonable gets you business. Found a local garage like this for me and i use them exclusively when i cant do the work myself and have sent family and friends down there, i sent them so much work recently i got my MOT work done for almost nothing

No idea how I found this thread but you're talking about Cowley Road Tyre & Exhaust; they are indeed good guys. Have used them for about 10 years now.
