Car data is incorrect

I just looked at the Lotus Elan M100 cars for sale and the models and specs are all over the place

There were only 3 Elan M100s built

Lotus Elan NA: 130bhp
Lotus Elan SE: 165bhp
Lotus Elan S2: 155bhp

And why can't I browse the particular model?

I am looking for an XF Diesel S as they are reasonably quick but have to trawl through every ad on 38 pages of Diesels
Why aren't there options of which sub type of model.

And why do I have page 1-5 or 37-38 it could take ages to skip through to page 20, just stick one in the middle like: 1-4 20 37-38

The classifieds would be a hell of a lot better if the information was correct and the navigation was good.

Specs are entered by our system if we have the data(VRM based), but a dealer or seller has the option to modify the data attached to their advert as they see fit.

You can using Keywords to augment you Model search

As above, keywords can be used to thin the search to what you want within a model category.

That layout is standard for most sites. List a few at the start (so you can read through from the start page by page. Or skip to the end if you've already done so.

Your reply is just telling me what I already know as if it's some kind of excuse not to improve the flawed classified section.
If your layout is standard for most sites then what is the point in your site? To copy? Doing something because that's what most other sites do is the weakest excuse, you may try and do some 'design work' rather than rip off auto trader.

There is absolutely no point in what you are doing.
It's pretty obvious that the functionality of the site requires review on these basic points of navigation and accuracy of information.

Key word search has the fundamental flaw of near infinite permutations, I don't want to guess I want will work, I want options.
Why do you have categorisation by make and model then? if you are relying on word search? word search is not navigation.

I am supposed to guess which key word will yield results I require and as I pointed out the information on specs is inaccurate, so the function of key word search isn't going to work.

Try actually solving problems instead of making excuses. I won't bother giving any feed back again as this is the kind of EBay style idiotic reply I get.

Keyword search is there to further refine your search by let's say, heated seats. Or to help you find that illusive anniversary edition or frankly any other word. It searches the entire advert (within your selected Make/Model assuming you've selected one) so it's not exactly a guessing game. Type what you would expect to be written in an advert for the car you want. It's meant to be used in conjunction with the rest of the facets.

I was referring to the pagination when I said it was standard. A lot of what we do (Driven wheels search?) is not standard.

Our information is only as accurate as the person who inputs it. Or the data we pull in automatically when you input your registration number.

Why invite feedback when you don't want to do any thing to improve, you just give me a brick wall to bang my head against.

I know how it works, I spent my time putting together a simple and coherent message to help you improve the site, but its obvious I'm wasting my time getting 'this is how it works' replies. Instead of making excuses try learning from the suggestions and the site would be better to use.
