Hi All,

In the last 2-3 weeks I've started to feel pain (tenerdness) in my righ heel, imagine foot flat on floor, about 2 fingerwidths up the back of my heel moving towards my ankle joint.

I'm quite active rowing running 2-3 times a week.

Its an odd pain that sometimes its tendor to the touch then a minute later its not there, seems to be prevelant after a nights sleep first thing in the morning

Any ideas ?

Cheers

Michael

I've just had something very similar.

Could be achilles tendonitis, as mentioned, but I had retrocalnea bursitis (Google it)

Basically, it's a small fluid sac between where your achilles tendon meets the ankle bone.

Rest, ice, physio.

Sounds like : Plantar fascIitis AKA policemans heel. II have been suffering for the last 6 months but finally starting to see some real improvement. Rest, physio and stretches will sort it.

Heel spur, that's what my doc called it. Get a rolling pin and each morning roll your foot over it to stretch the bottom
