Have we got one already? Can't find one!

Anyway, for me something along the lines of this would be lovely:

.........McGregor

Hutton Berra Caldwell Mulgrew

...Adam Fletcher McArthur

Brown..................Maloney

.........Fletcher

Plan for Brown to be replaced by Forrest/Phillips as the game opens up, and I'd like to see Mackie and Commons come on too, as we push for a 3rd or 4th goal wink

Levein will be gone by the end of the week.

Even if he had got a result on Friday night the damage was already done in the first two games.

Well I say he should be gone but the silence from our incompetent SFA is deafening.

I reckon they've already got his replacement lined up, and I think it's Eck McLeish.

My money would be on Strachan

I'd be delighted with either: both have experienced relative success with Scottish teams in Europe which I think is a prerequisite.

Probabky rules out Owen Coyle, Peter Houston, John Collins, not sure who else has been mentioned.

Actually, McLeish's results as Scotland manager weren't as bad as I remembered them.
I always remember him positively, a few really good results, and I have the impression that he and Walter "nearly" got us to finals... might be my blue tints though smile

Who else is in the pot?

never want Scotland to get beat, but we need a change...

We can still win all of our remaining matches and qualify. This may be a problem!

I really don't care if we get a foreign manager, as long as they've got previous experience of success against European teams with British teams.

Levein is learning on the job, making his mistakes on the job. We need to minimise the risk of someone making rookie mistakes in the future (i.e. playing 4-6-0, playing a centre-half and a winger in central midfield).

Anyone know the odds on Sounness or Dalglish?!

Good shout. I'd love him in charge. I have great memories of his time in charge of Southampton. (currently my local team)

Statistically McLeish is our best ever manager, played 10, won 7. He was also in charge the last time we won 3 games in a row, France, Ukraine and Lithuania (i think). For me this qualifies him for another crack at the job should he so desire. However, quite a few fans don't want to see him back after he ditched us so quick as soon as an EPL chairman came calling.

Smith - again a good selection. Does he want the job? Not sure how the current Rangers / SFA situation sits with him. Although the SFA might see this as a chance to improve relations if he did take the job. Same as McLeish he walked out on us for a club job.

Strachan - my first choice for the job. Strachan's problem is he noises lots of people up the wrong way and the SFA dont want that. He'd be demanding wholesale changes to the SFA and football in scotland. Obviously something the current SFA beaks are not going to vote for.

We are never going to get an international manager, the best we can hope for is a club manager with some european experience. That's what the 3 above have.

Heard him on Radio Scotland last night and he didn't sound like a man who was walking into the Scotland job tomorrow smile

Just me that thought that was a penalty for the shove on Commons?

Commons replaced, we need a bit more gas down the right wing to expose them on the counter when Vertonghen's galavanting!
