I would recommend Str8six, 20 mins up the M40 toward Oxford.

+1 for Str8six. From Heathrow? You're lucky..... I have to travel from Essex!

thanks for the advices;
I must be more precise : an easy access with public transport (bus, train...); I will drive to the specialist, leave the TVR and return home with the plane;
and the reverse when the car is ready

Str8six is a mile from M40, junction 6. There is a coach stop there for a service from Oxford to London, trying too google route for you but timetable seems currently unavailable. Give str8six a call, they are good guys and I am sure will be able to help

Travelling from Southampton as I do, I get mainline train to Oxford, then a 10 min walk to the bus station and get the "Oxford Tube" southbound.
This (express bus) drops you just off the M40, where you can leg it to Jason (20/25 mins) or 'phone & Chas can usually pick you up.
