http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/GENUINE-UK-CANON-POWERSH...

I've read/seen on this forum how good these compacts are.
This is a potential Christmas present for someone else but it seems very cheap compared to other offers.
It's not another what compact thread, it's because I'm not very Internet savvy.
Any comments please.

New other (see details): A new, unused item with absolutely no signs of wear. The item may be missing its original packaging, or the original packaging has been opened or is no longer sealed. The item may be a factory second, or a new and unused item with minor defects. See the seller’s listing for full details and description of any imperfections

Aha...EX-DISPLAY - WAS ON SHOW IN A GLASS CABINET SO IN FNATASTIC CONDITION - COMPLETE IN ORIGINAL BOX WITH SUPPLIED ACCESSORIES & INSTRUCTIONS

Thankyou for your reply Baz.

Exactly. It seems there is a pretty wide definition there but is seems there is also a 1 year manufacture's guarantee.

In general their customer feedback looks pretty good.

At least one customer of that camera offer left feedback in the past few days and seems very happy.

Looks like a goodish price.

I've bought similar deals from the Canon Outlet several times and the only negative from them would be the packaging - often one of the reasons for the reduce price. Some boxes look like they may have been moved around a bit and this time last year I received a flash unit that looked completely brand new - but for the fact that the box had a very thick coating of dust! Very thick! Cleaned up well in a few seconds but I did wonder why no one bothered to wipe it before sending. No complaints at the price. The flash is fine. Worth checking prior to giftwrapping! wink

I've never dealt with that particular vendor (afaik) but have spotted some of their deals before now and they seem to be consistent and regular advertisers.

All of that said - the usual caveats apply but you do have distance selling laws to provide some protection.

I paid £15 more for a new S100 from HK, seems a bit overpriced IMHO
