Bigger engine (3.8lt), more BHP (530), more torque (700Nm).

:-)

Pics not working :-(

I have had mine for over a year now, and still left breathless when kicking down.

Unless you're on it everywhere, you find yourself having to really feather the throttle everywhere, as its always goading
You into giving it large.

Loving the black wheels on White. Any pics of the interior? How does it sound with the top down?

Congratulations. Had the pleasure of going for a ride in a 997.2 Turbo S at Dunsfold this year. It was stupidly fast. We were the second to last car out of the pit lane and the first one back in! Noting stood a chance against us wink acceleration is just amazing! biggrin

Really impressed with the sound of these things too. The 997 turbo always comes into some stick for sounding too soft, but the exhaust-note of the 'S' sounds anything but. Does anyone know if this is a characteristic of the 'S' or does the non-S gen 2 sound as good?

First thing a I noticed. I thought the seller had put a sports exhaust on. The 997.1 and 997.2 turbo don't sound as good. Still think it needs a proper exhaust on which will release a few more horses http://www.europipe.be/europipe_porsche_exhausts_v... or whatever you fancy from DMS, 9excellence etc.

A good customer of mine gave me the choice of his LP560 or 997.2 Turbo S for the weekend as a wedding present - I love the 911 but had to choose the Lamborghini as I'd have genuinely feared for losing my license in the 911, as already mentioned it just tempts you to put the foot down too often and the speeds it reaches in a matter of seconds is ridiculous!

Awesome car and spec. I have a 997 GTS - white and with the black wheel combination the same as this and however good my car is I still lust after a Turbo S in this spec.
Enjoy

Lovely car and very addictive power I would imagine. Mind you, with a user name like yours, you should be used to crazy acceleration. smile

very nice ... love the colour/black wheels and the roof off option

has to be the ultimate everyday 'do everything' sportscar with open top motoring thrown in to boot

paired up with one of these around scoitland and the alps this year and they are mighty fast ..... the deafening whooshing noise under full beans is like being behind the back of a jumbo on the landing strip !

Looks lovely.

Friend has a Turbo 'S' coupe and it is ballistically fast, with a nice sound track, although he says he's never used Launch Control or Sport Plus.
