Mine has a chrome tube thing that screws to the floor ans supprts the child seat while protecting the car set itself. Does any one know what age group the TVR seat suits befor I use it. I'm thinking I need something else for a 1 year old.

Mine also has the chrome bits - my daughter has used it from the age about 9 months old, although we did have to boost the height of the seat cusion so that the seat belt sat across her chest and not her neck - she seemed quite comfortable which is just as well as we did a return trip to the Dordogne!

She is now 5 and has problems with leg space with large adult passengers - the passenger seat cannot be fully back.

Hope these comments help.

You can use the TVR seat (the older model, anyway) from the time your child can sit up unaided until he or she is 12, according to the official paperwork that comes with the seat.
