Hi all.

Has anyone got a car cover knocking about that they want beer tokens or wedge parts for?

I have had a shuffle around with the 2 FHCs, the silver one now lives at my pals garage forecourt and the blue one will have to live on the drive for a few months..

Oh, and the reason...

This one is in need of a good stripping and chassis refurb and will be adorned all over the garage space for the winter months!!!

That should keep me busy, eh!!

Thanks for the poke about it mate, was well worth the trip last week and it should be delivered next friday.

Ill be calling you when I need a lift with the body,
between us we should be able to make up a half decent back !!

the 420 needs a lot of work, theres several pieces scattered about the place, he hinted that he might sell the MG though, but I definately dont have enough room for another two!

Wooley, its not a turbo..... yet!

hahahahah, quality mate!!

nfortunately I live in a conservation are, area of natural beaty and surrounded by bloody listed buildings, so I need special planning just to put up a new flood light!!!

Im actually looking for a garage to rent in the local village, but failing that Ill hav to leave it ouside and cover it with a tarp or cover!

Nice purchase mate..All i can say about a cover is buy a decent one..One with a fleece inner and a total weatherproof outer..Howlfrauds do one but the inside is a little rough and it will mash up your paintwork when it gets blown about...Ziga

I love Taimars. cloud9

Careful with tarps...cheap stuff may react with and damage your paintwork.

I got my car cover from Argos, about 40 quid and it's perfectly good, with elasticated ends, soft 'car side' and waterproof. Must have had it about 7 years now.

Looks like my garage. A gold Taimar and a blue wedge. Be careful with keeping a car under a cover. I kept my taimar under a hamilton breathable outdoor cover during some winter months, and the result was micro blisters. I refurbished the chassis of my taimar by taking the suspension off, unbolting the body and lifting it up off the chassis, supported by jacks. luckily the tubes around the diff, and through the tunnel, still had their powder coating on. Good luck with the project. This winter I intend to do the same with my 400SE.

Hi mate...Its good to shop around but DONT buy cheap covers..I have two covers on my ole girl..One is breathable frost resistant with a fleece linning and the outer one was from howlfrauds..Its a fully waterproof cover with straps that fasten one side then under the car to the other side..These might be worth a look..Ziga
