Well as of yesterday I am officially back in the TVR fold after 6 years out the circle since I sold my cerbera 4.2! It's been a long time saying I'll have another one soon, but finally I'm there! I bought Deeens 2002 Tuscan S. It doesn't have fsh and needs a few things done do it, but I;m pretty happy with what I got for the price. 1st job is to fix the broken exhaust then send it to Str8six for a much needed 12k service!

Its had a couple of really bad albeit smallish patches of paint done by what looks like one of these mobile smart repair guys, but its reflex purple paint so REALLY obvious! So I really want to address these asap. Has anyone with one of these colours had a blended repair done before as I don't think its possible hence full respray costing over £5k!! If that is the case, then I either just want it done 'better' than it is, or then there is the option of a wrap in frozen grey...but that defeats the object of having such a nice colour car!Mmmmm.....

Anyway, hoping to keep this one for quite a while! Was interesting driving back to Oxford from Crawley in yesterdays weather, but despite overfueling from missing a back box it did the trip very well.

I'll be on here asking loads of questions over the next few months and years I'm sure, and I'll get some pictures up as soon as I've had time to clean her and take some!

Congratulation!

I had part of my car resprayed with reflex charcoal. Paint guy said it blended very easily.

Hi Toady,

Firstly congrats! As you'll remember, two of my previous cars were reflex purple, and just to re-iterate what others have said its actually easier to blend this paint in than regular paint.

By the way, I got my reflex charcoal paint from International Colours. They were by far the cheapest (had quotes of up to £1,000/litre) and the colour matched perfectly.

Awesome Cockey thanks! I'll look into that then! Thats what I've been quoted so far from a bodyshop that did me some quotes on a couple of cars last week, but they said they'd need to do a full respray!!

Yes, on the first car. Had to think about that, was such a long time ago.

Seems International Colours have set up their own TVR site: http://www.tvrpaint.com/TVRPageR-S.html

£400 a litre for reflex paint.

Was it a good repair job, and where did you go for it to be done? cheers

Thanks for the link to the paint supplier.
