Hi there, my father in-law is getting depressed about a new (old) Triumph he has bought. It has the Lucas Fuel Injection and is not running properly. (Last time I spoke to him he was talking about it running rich.) Anyone out there have any advice or possible things to look for?
(I have just had a similar problem with my old TVR. Turned out to be a dodgy injector and tapets out of adjustment but took ages to trace the problem. The solution came from some Piston-Headers so perhaps there is someone who can help here too. I'll try to find more details.) Cheers. Nadeem

Sorry so late, hav'nt posted for a while. Had one for years in the 70's, almost certainly, rich running is due to the metering unit running under pressure, should be between 118 and 122 psi, they also run very hot which causes to drop pressure, heat sinks are available for the unit.
