Hello!

Here's my new toy! smile It's a BMW Z4 3.0i SE with a lot of Sport kit on it. It's a second car as my girlfriend and I work together, we usually take her Civic into work. The Z4 replaces my immaculate BMW Z4 M Roadster, which I had to sell to fund our beautiful first house! The new house has a garage so I've cleared it out ready for the new Z4.

I can't believe it cost about a third of my BMW Z4 M Roadster, as it really is 80% of the car! It's quick, sounds great, looks good and is much better on fuel. I'm very surprised with how tight the car feels considering it's age and mileage, it really does drive like a new car.

Only a couple of jobs to do with it really, I need to get someone to machine polish the car, especially the bonnet, which seems to have gone a bit flat and lost it's shine, the front bumper needs painting as it's so badly stonechipped some of the paint is flaking and there's a scuff on it, the rear brake light is cracked so needs replacing and the BMW badges could do with being replaced. Other than that, it's in really good condition. I've clayed and hand polished the car this morning which has got rid of all the tar and tree sap and the paint is in really good order. I'm sure it will come up really well with a machine polish.

Spec wise, it's pretty high....

M Sport electric memory leather seats
Illuminated Z4 door sills
Professional sat nav and computer
DSP stereo (which is bloody amazing!)
CD changer
Parking sensors
M Sport 18" wheels
M Sport spoiler
Wind deflector
Cruise control
Cup holders!

Fantastic looking car, I am very tempted to get one.

Those wheels are great, not seen them on the z4 before and they aren't in the original launch brochure I have.

Thanks.

Yeah, the wheels may have been a 3 Series option or something.

Lovely looking car and it seems to be in great condition too. The rear spoiler is an acquired taste though!

Lovely car. I really like these.

I like the spoiler, and haven't seen one with that spoiler before. They look equally as good without though

Nice car OP, I like the spoiler too

May I ask about the M? How much of a real world difference do you find between the 2?

I'm looking at a new car in June and am torn between the M and a 3.0si

I'm looking at the Coupe but assume the info would be valid regardless

Keep thinking how good value these are at the moment. Looks nice but wouldn't have the spoiler myself. Only issue is insurance, but I'm not about to wish away my youth...just wish prices were lower hehe

Marmite thing - I'm in the no camp. Somewhat German (in a less than good way).

Sure, when I get a bit of time I'll elaborate on the differences. Monday morning workload at the moment!

Thanks for the comment smile

Ridiculous value! It was less than a third of the price of my Z4 M!

Insurance on the M for me was £800, the 3.0 is £400. I'm 27, 9 years NCB, no points or accidents. Bargain!

Thanks! It looks a bit different to the usual Z4s, which is why I like it.

I'd also be interested to hear as I'm considering a Z4 3.0si or Z4M coupe as my next car.

Never seen those wheels before, they look cracking! ( as does the car) Looks like no other z4 i've seen really (OEM wise).

Z4's really are amazing value, definately on the next car list

Take out (just one IMO) of the extra bits of foam in the sound generator and it will sound even better. smile

Congratulations Daniel!

It's really looking good, the silver at the end of the day is maybe the best colour to highlight the sculpyured body flames of the side of the car.
I really love the wheels, I'm not so keen on the spoliler though.
Is it really that good wrt the M? When buying mine I didn't took it into consideration but recently I started to question the need of the extra costs and inpracticalities of the M if not a trackday fan...
Enjoy it!
