Thanks for the memories, I think my TCR 4 lane change and all is in my parents loft. Spent all my pocket money when I was little and acumulated qutie alot in the end, just watch out for the Jam car!

I looked into this again tonight. The set my cousin had was in fact called "Truck Racing". The one I always wanted was called "Race and Chase" witht he cop car...!

My brother had a TCR as a kid and we spent hours on it!! I remember one of the cars would be permanently stuck to the inside lane.
I seem to recall he had about 6 cars and he would find the fastest chassis then attach his favourite body to it so I never had a chance to win.
I can't really make out the pics as I'm on my phone but a few cars look familiar. The only car we had that looked anything like a 'real' car was a black Porsche, the BMW looked reasonably similar.

funnily enough I bought a load of Ideal TCR stuff last week, now considering selling it as I just bought a shed load of TYCO TCR stuff (the american one) which is superior/faster ect but more bloody expensive and very rare over here...

I'd never heard of TCR I've watched some vids and it looks like you could just go flat out, is there any skill?

Looking forward to seeing more of this, I was too poor for a TCR set (I had a Race and Chase instead) but I did have a couple of hand me down cars that mingled with my Matchbox ones under hand control rather than electricity.
