I noticed a few weeks ago that my horn has stopped working. The relay clicks when the horn is depressed and therefore I can rule out the switch on the steering wheel - and possibly the relay?

I removed the number plate and found the horn itself. It looks 'OK' but for a few bits of rust. I thought then I would confirm that it was getting power.

The horn says '12v' on it so I assume that when I press the horn on the steering wheel, my metre on the clips going to it should be 12v?....can't get a reading at all

Any ideas?

just fixed the exact same problem,
there are two horns in the nose cone the one on the nearside has two purple and white wires(live) and two black wires(earth),one of each feeds the offside horn, firstly check that all the wires and connectors/terminals are in good clean condition , then i tested the horn with a battery charger to ensure it worked. if you still have problems then i'd check you have a good earth, run a separate earth to ground.
