Odd question but with the amount of people from different jobs/ other peoples contacts....

I have a quite old Ibook, it is a G4 14inch 1.42ghz and it died a horrible death a year and a bit ago,

I think from testing a few bits back then that it was the airport card that had given up causing the computer to have "kernel panics" as it would start if i had wifi off!

Since then I got an Ipad which are good but nothing like my old Ibook, i like the more laptoppyness of the ibook than touch screen.

So does anyone know somebody or can recommend someone who could have a look at the Ibook and bring it back to life? (needs new battery and power cable)

then i shall sell off the Ipad 1 I have!

I beg to disagree as I live in Glasgow,
I want to find out if someone in Scotland, preferably Glasgow can recommend somewhere/someone to fix it.

So please mods, no magic

I have handed in several laptops to a place in Dumbarton Rd Glasgow and been very happy with their help, its on Dum Rd where it backs onto Partick Underground Station.
If you take it in, they will tell you there and then whether it is something they will tackle and if they do, there is something like a £15 diagnostic cost (only payable if you decide not to go ahead with your repair)
