TVR, the early years?

Had a nice little daytrip to France yesterday and ended up in Bayeux, where Mrs. Prunus and I spent a happy day seeing the sights.


I was a little suprised to find what must be the earliest reference to TVR in existance in a sleepy Normandy town rather than in Northern Britain.

I regret I am unable to translate the text in the picture, the only bit I recognise is 'TVR CARo', but it would appear to be an early representation of the factory.

I can certainly see a cow in the process of being turned into some upholstery and another bloke inspecting a steering wheel.

Any idea what's going on in the right of the picture?

The guy in the green tunic at the far right(first image) is heat treating some finger followers for the speed 6 engine
