AFM's / Injectors and ECU's - Flapper
Discussion
Some experts :cough:
will tell you that any 4CU will run your car perfectly well. Others (me included) suggest you leave alone anything that didn't come off a Rover SD1. Range Rover units typically have the part number PRC 4764 or PRC 7440 and should be given a wide berth unless you are handy with a soldering iron and can read resistor colour codes
SD1 airflow meter is the one you need; also used on some BMWs of the late '80s. You can fit the larger-bore Jaguar one (looks the same but bigger) but you'll upset the fuelling straight-off... and fannying-around with the flap spring tension isn't the full story.
Standard SD1 injectors (part number ends in 105) were used all the way up to the 390SE and are good for way more than 250bhp. You can fit higher-flowing ones but you'll be over-fuelling unless you back off the rail pressure.
Essentially, what are you hoping to achieve?
