A friend of mine is getting married in Beeston, Notts on 23rd October and is keen to get some interesting/sports cars to take people from the church to the reception at Holme Pierpont.

So far the line up includes a Honda S2000, MG Midget, Hillman Minx, Mazda MX5, 3 TVR Griffiths and 2 TVR Tuscans.

I don't have many more details yet until we meet on 2nd Sept but if you are interested in the idea of doing a run around Nottingham and being part of a photo for his wedding please either post something up here or drop me an email.

Ta muchly

Thanks chaps, the list is looking pretty good so far. More details soon but the time is going to be 14:15 to 14:30 for collection at the church which is in Beeston.

I will have a run up there this weekend and check out a meeting place because as usual in Nottingham, parking around the church is kak. Then Tom and I can arrange stuff in more detail.

Keep you posted.

Worse than that maggit. Want to guess what the ratio of guys/gals is for bagging a seat in a sports car. More likely you will end up with a brother so move over and let lorraine drive for once

Sorry guys, been a bit preoccupied just lately.
The plan is to be there at 14:00 and expect to be off anything up to 14:30.

Directions then:

FROM NOTTINGHAM RING ROAD
From Dunkirk roundabout away from nottingham (west) and down University Boulevard following signs for Long Eaton/Beeston. Follow this until you get to the roundabout (watching for traffic cameras).
Go left at the roundabout onto Queens Road

** Down Queens Rd for about 3/4mile (past the big pine shop on left) until the road opens up into 3 lanes at traffic lights (rail station and Siemens posted left) but you want to turn RIGHT onto Station Rd. Now about half a mile to some traffic lights with a multi storey car park in front of you. Turn LEFT onto Middle St and go about 400yds until you see a cenotaph on your left (opposite Church Street) where the road bears gentle right then sharp left. DONT BEAR LEFT !!
Turn RIGHT here onto Chilwell High Road and find somewhere to park. The church is just 30yds up on the right.

FROM DERBY/M1 J25 DOWN A52
Follow A52 until you get to the roundabout (3rd if you include the one with the road through the middle!)with the Shell garage on your right (USEFUL FOR THOSE NEEDING SHELL OPTIMAX) and turn right at this roundabout. Go across the first roundabout and at the second where you can only turn right or left go RIGHT then follow instructions above from **

This might all sound complicated but its simple really. This may help...

How did it go, then? Weather wasn't up to much, was it?
Did the passengers enjoy it?
