My wife is going to New York soon for a girlie shopping trip for her birthday.

She's already booked transports/limo and the like, but I was hoping there was a surprise I could lay on for when she arrives/during her stay.

Is there anyway to put a message on one of the big displays in Time Square ?

Alternatively does PH have any other similar suggestions ?

This is the first hit when you google "can i display a message on times square " - http://www.timessquarenyc.org/visitor-tips/visitor...

God knows how much it costs though, can't you just call her?

Well given what happened to NY - this thread is a bit redundant.

Is it? Your first post didn't indicate timing?

I would say it will be sometime before NYC is back to normal, I certainly wouldn't be planning any trips to it over the next 12 months.

I'm there/here now, had to relocate from 24th street hotel uptown to find food & electricity but things are getting back to normal. I don't think it'll take 12 months (for Manhattan at least) to get back to normal.

It'll be back to normal on Manhattan much sooner than that - the city cannot afford to spend 12 months tidying. Long Island might take longer though especially down on the coast.
