‎750MC RELAUNCHES ROADSPORTS

The 750 Motor Club is to relaunch its Roadsports category in 2013 as a series of mini-endurance races. The Donington Park-based club, which ran the class as a successful championship from 1981 until 2006, will be making a departure from its usual format of sprint races for the first time.

The races will be 45 minutes long and include a compulsory pit stop, with options for one or two drivers to compete in one or two cars. Entry fees will start at £275 for the series of six races, which will take in major circuits such as Donington Park, Silverstone and Snetterton 300.

“We’ve made the decision to re-launch Roadsports in place of our MR2 Super GT category,” said 750MC Competition Manager Giles Groombridge. “It will be aimed at production-based sports cars, organised into three categories based on power-to-weight ratio. As well as MR2s, we aim to attract cars such as Mazda MX5s, Lotus Elises and Porsche Boxsters. The lowest class will restrict modifications, but the class structure will allow people the opportunity to tune their cars should they wish.”

Regulations for the new series will be available from the Club shortly and potential competitors should register their interest by e-mail to racing@750mc.co.uk.

Direct competition for CSCC's latest series, replacing Deutsche Marque.
Hope there are enough to fill both.

Or the CSCCs latest series is direct competition to this one plus the 750 series seems a lot cheaper although I don't see how they can do 45mins at that price.

Let's not forget Britcar's new production sports car series:

Looks like several clubs have spotted the gap in the market at the same time...
