If all else fails, I've got a working one that I rarely use, if you might be interested?

Thanks for the offer but i have a fairly new Fluke that i use.
The one needing repaired was acquired recently with a new caibration cert so hopefully is a easy fix.

http://www.scotia-instrumentation.com/home.html for repair

as to the fault - they all do that when they get wet.

try leaving it sitting on a radiator over night, with the terminals facing down - might get a few more months out of it.

^ as above, mine does that if I leave it out in the garage in the cold, couple of days in the house usually fixes it.

I know its far away but Geddes and Mellis in Elgin still have Old School component level electronics engineers. They have worked miracles on my CDJ's in the past

What were you doing before it failed? Not having a dig, being LV <1000v, these questions always come to mind!
