Renault Clio 197 Insurance

Hello PHers,

I've fallen in love with an ultra red clio 197 but the lowest insurance quotes are coming out at around £1,000. I appreciate that my age does increase the price (I'm 21) but I've been a named driver on another insurance policy for 4 years with no claims in that time. Does any one know any companies that could offer me a lower price than that? My lowest quote, using confused.com, was from admiral with elephant following closely behind.

Best prices I get are Direct Line (with a few cars in the household with them) closely followed by Admiral.

I'm 23 with a 182.

When I was 21 I paid £806 for my 197 cup. I had 3 years no claims and had both parents on the policy too, but me as the main driver/policy holder etc

Just renewed at 22 on my 200 and paid £640, chuffed with that!

Try a broker, I use A-Plan and they are really helpful.
