I'm fitting a new clutch slave cylendar seal kit on my Tuscan year 2000. Does anyone have any advice/pics. It's the one thing missing from the sagaris workshop manual!!
Cheers.

I've read that it is a false economy to replace the seals. Apparently they can fail fairly quickly. I would be fitting a new slave whilst the box is down.

Ok, I'll get a new cylendar assembly. Does anyone have any tips for fitting the seals and then fitting the assembly to the bell housing, flushing the pipes, fitting the thrust bearing, order of fittment etc....

The interior surface of the bell housing of the hydrolic clutch assembly:

After polishing: (not great but the oil seal seats look ok to me)

The clutch components, thrust bearing and oil seals:

Oil seal mounted in bell housing:

Seal fitted to clutch components:

Clutch assembly fitted to bell housing from the rear:

Thrust bearing pressed onto the clutch centre component (used a vice and 2 bits of wood):

I have just been given advice to use red rubber grease for the assembly of the clutch components which will help protect the seals.

I had to use a vice to assmeble the 3 parts of the clucth assembly. (even with the greased seals/components) I'm assuming that its a high pressure assembly and therefore its meant to be very tight? Anyone with experience in hydrolic clutch assemblies who'd like to comment?
Cheers,
