Hi Jules,
To save space on your drive, why not keep your new Chim(p?) parked at the golf club, next to the other Chim(p)s?

Sorry, couldn't resist it paperbag

Congratulations, enjoy them both.
At least you haven't completely moved to the Dark Side!

Edited due to further tem(p)tation.
I can resist anything except temptation.smile

I played golf yesterday ( Badly ) but was in my Tam , so are you telling me that the spare space i have in my garage needs to be filled with a Chimp cos petclub was trying to get me to buy an S the other day and now i'm confused.
Julian congrats on the new toy , interested to know how you get on , i'm not sure i'm confident enough to buy a car from ebay but looks like you have a nice one . Great colour for a chim .
You should change the note on your profile from "just looking for help" to Just starting my collection wink

you can always walk away if its not as described - just the same as a private sale via a PH or Autotrader advert

Hi Dale,
No, I never said anything like that, only trying to help Julian save space on his driveway. Sorry for any confusion.

Personally I'm not a golfist, but if I were, the Chim does have a very capacious boot for all the equipment ( bats & balls & bags & brollies & v-neck jumpers & plaid trews & spikey shoes & a glove. Oh, & a poker player's cap.)

If I had more garage space, I'd follow petclub's advice and fill it with S's.
HTH,
Glen smile

I've bought lots of cars off ebay and not been bitten yet, I bought a lovely Z28 IROC Camaro a few years back and never even saw it until it arrived on the low loader - it was a great car smile My wife bought me a lovely XJR for my birthday a few years back and I bought my S off ebay too LOL

I'm "moderately" careful in selecting the cars and make sure I speak to the owner and hope my charector judgement is good enough... time will tell LOL

The only golf I like involves little windmills smile

The MOT is due on the S next month so at least I'll be able to keep using a TVR while that's down (I think it might need some work LOL).

The plan is to use the Chimaera as a "GT" car and the S as my "sports" car.

If anyone finds themselves in the position where they wonder if they'd rather have a Chim than their S, let me know and you can have a go in mine smile

Glad you cleared that up cos I'm trying to persuade Mrs Mycroft that a Sag would be a great investment . There is unfortunately tens of thousands of reasons not to buy a Sag and if i had an S i wouldn't need to sneak in at the back next S club nono

Smart tactics there Dale !
Hit her with the megabucks Sag idea first, allow to simmer for a while, then the idea of a little inexpensive S seems a good option!
I like your style.smile

That's a nice looking car, and I know the feeling smile

There are only two now, Chimaera was fun for a year or so but not really "me" so it went. Would like something a little older now, a Turner, Rochdale, Fairthorpe or similar scratchchin
